This special 30cm square dish is made with strips of turquoise, steel blue and robins egg blue glass fired over a clear sheet of glass to provide luminocity and light through the colours.  In sunlight you'll find the shadows cast in shades of blue and by candlelight a slight muted but similar palette.
 
The glass once fully fired is then slumped into a mould for a nice long soak to allow the glass to sink down into the bottom of the shape (approx 7cm deep).
