Each heart measures approximately 6cm x 6.5cm and fits perfectly in the palm of an adult hand.

To make each unique fused glass pocket heart, I layer pieces of a variety of types of glass (frit, small pieces of glass and nuggets of pre-fired mixed glass).  The glass is transparent, opal, irid coated and even dichroic.  Twice fired, once fully fused to melt the glass into shape.  The heart is then cold-worked by hand and using a grinder to create the edges before the final fire polish fusing.

Packed nestled in tissue paper in a gift box and sent by Royal Mail post.
